I would love to see some solid proof, but how can you prove that when everyone rides the OEM bandwagon and uses the same stuff? OEM parts fail too, maybe not as often as the knockoff junk, but who can honestly say that they've never had an OEM part fail in a period of time or mileage that you might consider to be premature? /rhetorical_question
